On Friday, April 28, 2017 Lakeland Police Department agency held its 2016 Annual Award ceremony. Both sworn officers and civilian team members were honored for work during 2016. Pop's Painting was honored for painting the LPD SWAT Team's armored vehicle. Mark and Chris Woods attended the ceremony to receive the award. It should be recognized that Mr. Jamie Woods in his typical boots on the ground approach to work did not attend, but elected to stay back at the shop in order to make sure that the work was getting done. It was Jamie Woods who unselfishly gave his time, energy, and expertise to refurbish the paint on the exterior and did not ask for one dime or any recognition in return. Well I'm giving the credit where it is due so he can be recognized, however I won't give him the dime. Thank you Jamie for investing in the community that supports us. Lakeland Police Department is one of the finest I have ever known and we support them 100 percent.
